I have learned to lucid dream and I can actually control my dreams. However, my subconscious mind is very strong and will attempt to maintain strict control of my dreams. Over time, the abilities I possess durring lucid dreaming have leaked over into my everyday dreams so that in the dream world, I am capable of a great many fantastic things whether I am in control or not. Now my control is limited at best. I found that I prefer to allow the dream to unfold on it’s own. However, I do have several abilities that I will outline below:

Short list of things I can do in my lucid dreams (and now every dream):

  1. If I can see a place, I can immediately move to it (IE: if I look through a knothole in a fence, I can instantly be on the other side).
  2. I can heal myself and others
  3. I can fly
  4. I can jump long distances
  5. I can change my appearance and the appearance of others
  6. I can mold anything into anything else as if it where clay
  7. I can travel through time
  8. I can teleport from one place to another
  9. I can materialize objects from nowhere
  10. I can use magic (spells/incantations)
  11. I can turn invisible
  12. I can produce interesting outcomes through linguistic puns (IE: fight fire with fire… fight fire with the fires of passion)
  13. I can control the weather
  14. I can pull swords from my body as if I where a human sheath. Often I can convert a wound from anything into a blade that can effectively counter the source of the harm.
  15. I can turn completely silver from head to toe (so that I appear like a silver surfer, colossus hybrid). In this form, I am super strong and invulnerable.
  16. I can transform into a demonic, almost batlike creature. Very ugly, almost invincible, with big bat wings.
  17. I can walk through fire without being harmed in the least.
  18. I can create and shoot energy blasts, not unlike a character from Dragon Ball Z.
  19. I may or may not be able to die (dieing in your dreams is rare and supposedly dangerous, I do it often. I am also immortal in many of my dreams as well).
  20. I can read… which is supposed to be impossible. Short phrases (four words or less) are pretty much my limit, beyond that, things get rather difficult to actually understand. They are words, they just aren’t arranged in a logical manner.
  21. I can not only see in color but also beyond the range of normal human color vision. I can see in infra red and ultra violet.
  22. I can do the “Jedi mind trick” and transform the thoughts of others as well as modify their memories and influence them to perform certain actions.
  23. I can create void tendrils, which can drain the life from people, drain the heat from things, as well as consume any form of matter or energy.

There are a whole hots of abilities which I’ll probably add here as I think of them or even develop them. I am constantly developing new abilities. I’m simply putting this in one place so that I can reference it in future posts.

  1. Edzio:

I also have managed to dream lucidly - my abilities include gliding on air, transformation of any item into any other item which i hold, space travel - so far only in our solar system, shadow powers which allow me to manipulate my surroundings, I can phase through solid objects and I have been dead a number of times and experienced alternate dimensions. There is more but lately my memories of my dreams are few and faded. POWER TO THE DREAMER!!!

  2. Nathaniel:

Dreams are just so much fun. The power and ability that we all can have over a world of our own invention… it’s pretty cool.

When I transform an object into another object, I mold it like clay into the new desired shape. How do you accomplish the transformation?

  3. Edzio:

The transformation of objects I hold are through a sort of light energy - like colored beams that change into the shape I see.

  4. Nathaniel:

Now that’s cool. My “special effects” are usually much more mundane.

  5. Edzio:

I don’t know - your tendrils of positive and negative energy sound pretty cool to me. My favorite is gliding on air, these dreams are usually the most vivid. Which is your favorite dream ability?

  6. Nathaniel:

That’s true, the void tendrils are pretty cool. In one dream I actually become a creature of the void and completely devoured a man who was trying to kill me and my family. That was pretty cool…

I think my favorite ability is the ability to pull swords from my own body as if I where a sheath. I should post the mythology behind that particular facet of my dreams (all produced by a series of dreams).

  7. Edzio:

How often do your dreams re-occur? I frequently have re-occurring dreams but from different vantage points - these dreams are also vivid and quite realistic.

  8. Nathaniel:

I rarely have any reoccurring dreams, but I often have reoccurring themes. My latest dream entry is testament to that. It illustrates a vast mythology that unveiled itself over the course of several dreams. I often have common nightmares,The most common of which involves an invisible monster that lives underground and will eat me if I touch the ground.

  9. Edzio:

I don’t know if it is a nightmare or not but there is one reoccurring dream where I am in Hell, but it is all black with white pillars surrounding a huge pool - there is a woman lounging at the far side and a slide near me where men are lined up to go down - when they do they hit the pool like it was filled with glass and they dissolve into a red smear that quickly fades away to clear again - when the dream recurs I am at different vantage points; sometimes I am in the recliner and sometimes there is no one there accept me. But the black sky and pillars are always there with the pool. I haven’t tried to decipher the symbology but it is a vivid dream and I wake up feeling sedated.
In another recurring dream there is a red eyed girl that I associate with the woman in the recliner but she is human and my friend and we are always in this strange apartment about to go somewhere….

  10. Nathaniel:

Crazy, I too have had several dreams where I am in hell. Although, the demons are always suprised that I am not in pain and that I can do everything that the higher class demons can do. I might write an article about my hell dreams, especially if I have another.

  11. Jacabel:

i had probably my second lucid dream ive ever had last night although it did not last long, i walked out the front of my house and saw this dude that i know who was down the beach earlier that day and in my dream i dont know why i did it but i told him to punch himself in the face and he just started doing it then i woke up and i was fully aware that i made that dude punch himself and that i was conscious in my dream, it would be really cool if i could do other things like fly and move mountains and stuff so please give me some tips on prolonging my lucid dreams, cheers

  12. NuBee:

I can controll my dreams too. It took a couple years to manage it but the first time I realized it was when I had this first dream that I still have to this day. I was needing to get away from this dark shadowy figure and I seen a car. I was so scared and I wanted to get away so i jumped in. the first time I needed keys but after two or three times I just make it go. Now I can fly and I had telekinesis too. I can feel my whole body lifting up but there are times if I am too scared or I dont concentrate enough, I will almost miss the place I want to land. Its wierd and cool at the same time. I also think I am developing telekinesis while awake. I can get mad or when I am feeling strongly about somethin, things tend to fall over or roll over tht has been sitting there for a long time. This one time I made someone choke on accident and never wanted to do that again because I realized I did it. I also have seen light and like flickerings of light fly past me and things like that but I try not to think that it could mean something wierd like. What do u think?

  13. Nathaniel:

NuBee, I’ve heard far stranger stories. Congrats on being able to control your dreams, it’s something that does indeed take time and practice. It can certainly be very strange at times, but man is it ever fun.

I totally believe that telekinesis can and does exist. However, most cases of suspected telekinesis tend to be… coincidence, imagination, and a healthy dose of embellishment. If you think you have this talent, I suggest you look it up on the net and attempt to hone your skills. If you can consciously control it, then you know it’s real and not just isolated coincidences.

Might I suggest a game for you to try? The garden of dreams: http://www.psiarcade.com/garden/

This is a fun little game that is supposed to teach psychic abilities. I find that I’m particularly skilled at the one testing telekinesis, perhaps you should give it a try.

  14. jakethebluesnake:

I’ve dreamed a few times about color changing rainbow colored dust that was being dispersed by a pretty black haired girl I was flying with. A gigantic Mutant “X-Games” athlete who had a head band just above his knee as well as on his head and was misunderstood by all but I when he kept asking for someone to pull the headband down to below his knee, when I did I peeled off his more detailed outer layer revealing a white-as-paper wet and slippery less detailed inner self, as soon as the air touched his inner self, his half developed eyes started pouring tears. A guy who jumped into water which was in extra space where the surface was two feet off the ground and looking edge on there was nothing under it except a concrete floor and empty space two feet below the surface, I said that’s sick and the guy exploded lacking fire, immediately I went backwards at high speed and out a door that i knew was there to stay clean. Of a little girl being dunked into what looked like wash machine w/o a center collumn, she didn’t want to go under the water but she was forced under, then the water drained away and it turned out there was a circular steel sheet with small holes all accross it just under the waters surface and the water had turned pink like koolaid, so apparently the girl dissolved. And a dead man with a missing arm and leg who got up saying he will be better soon he just needed to heal, he stumbled to a bunk bed where on the top bunk someone was sleeping on their back, he jumped up there and layed on them on his back lined up with them and he started sinking into them as they disappeared where his skin touched and as they disappeared he regenerated. So yes Lucid Dreaming is HELLISHLY COOL!! But not always fun. By the way the these are all abilities just read it again and you will see.

  15. Nathaniel:

That was a rather difficult read. @.@
It actually read less like a lucid dream and more like an acid trip. I’m not sure I see any abilities. What I’m calling an “ability” is something that I am capable of doing in a dream that differs from what I am capable of doing in reality. What others do is something else entirely.

Still, it sounds like you’ve got some rather vivid and strange dreams. Mine tend to be random, although not quite that random. There’s always some sort of story going on.

  16. jakethebluesnake:

I guess I don’t have the dream ability to lucid dream. I probably have to have used Acid Trip before to be able to do lucid dreaming. PS. I’m sorry for posting such a nightmarish post, I hope I didn’t warp your mind too much… …I Drank a Walrus. pps. the athlete is of the element Earth(terra) strong and unmoving like a rock yet soft and squishy on the inside. The girl has the elemental power of water(aqua). The man that eploded(vaporized) is of the element air(aer). the one who absorbs matter to regenerate without physically touching it is of the element fire(ignis).

  17. Nathaniel:

It wasn’t too bad. It was just a bit hard to follow because it was so random. It sounds amazingly vivid though.
